The craft that captured my attention and fueled my passion. I started my career journey as a behind-the-chair stylist for diPiertro, one of the most prestigious salons in the Bay Area after transitioning from a career in the music industry. Being the young creative that I was, I was in search of a new outlet of expression and found haircutting – or, haircutting found me.

As a mentor, I have guided numerous up-and-coming stylists and industry professionals, helping them navigate their career paths and achieve their goals. My mentorship approach is rooted in personalized support, actionable advice, and fostering a growth mindset. Seeing my mentees succeed has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.

My experience at diPietro Todd led me to discover a new life purpose – to serve others. I transitioned into becoming a full-time educator and facilitator  The essence of my education philosophy began to take shape as I touched hundreds of hairdressers both nationally and globally. It’s here that the core of YureeshStyle was essentially founded.

I began to develop and write apprenticeship programs which are still in practice today. My goal was to build and implement an apprenticeship program that encouraged growth from within, emphasizing coaching and mentoring practices and building clientele to maximize revenue.

Drawing from my extensive experience, I began offering consulting services to salons and beauty brands. My focus has been on improving salon operations, enhancing team performance, and developing strong brand identities. This role has allowed me to impact the industry from a different angle, providing strategic guidance and innovative solutions.

I've had the privilege of speaking at numerous industry conferences and events, sharing my insights and experiences with a wider audience. These opportunities have allowed me to connect with fellow professionals, inspire others, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue about the future of the beauty industry.

In collaboration with leading beauty brands, I have been involved in the development of innovative hair care and styling products. My hands-on experience behind the chair and understanding of stylists' needs have been instrumental in creating products that deliver exceptional results, and meet the demands of modern professionals.

With over 25 years of experience in the beauty industry, Yureesh has become the most booked L’Oréal Professional Artist for three consecutive years before assuming his current role as the AVP of Education at Biolage, Mizani, and Pureology.
