My story
Hello, I’m Yureesh Hooker, visual artist, musician, turned master hairstylist, master facilitator, education curriculum designer, AVP of Education, and founder and CEO of YureeshStyle – the result of my personal pursuit for career success and life fulfillment.
Throughout my many years in this industry, I’ve acquired valuable insights and tools for success needed to transform individuals and teams to operate as leaders – culture and communication, playing a monumental role in our sphere of influence and ability to succeed.
My purpose is to share how strong team culture, the demand for excellence, and how a commitment to constant growth and ongoing education changed my LIFE – and how it can change yours too.

My Experience
Stylist
Haircutting – the craft that captured my attention and fueled my passion. I started my career journey as a behind-the-chair stylist for one of the most prestigious salons in the Bay Area after transitioning from a career in the music industry. Being the young creative that I was, I was in search of a new outlet of expression and found haircutting – or, haircutting found me.
Educator
My experience at diPietro Todd led me to discover a new life purpose – to serve others. I was so inspired by the impact of being part of a strong salon culture that positively challenged me that I wanted others to experience it as well. I transitioned into becoming a full-time educator and facilitator for many professional brands and incorporated this messaging into my facilitation delivery. The essence of my education philosophy began to take shape as I touched hundreds of hairdressers both nationally and globally. It’s here that the core of YureeshStyle was essentially founded.
Curriculum Writer
I then began to develop and write apprenticeship programs which are still in practice today. My goal was to build and implement an apprenticeship program that encouraged growth from within, emphasizing coaching and mentoring practices and building clientele to maximize revenue.
Consultant
Drawing from my extensive experience, I began offering consulting services to salons and beauty brands. My focus has been on improving salon operations, enhancing team performance, and developing strong brand identities. This role has allowed me to impact the industry from a different angle, providing strategic guidance and innovative solutions.
Mentor
As a mentor, I have guided numerous up-and-coming stylists and industry professionals, helping them navigate their career paths and achieve their goals. My mentorship approach is rooted in personalized support, actionable advice, and fostering a growth mindset. Seeing my mentees succeed has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.
Public Speaker
I've had the privilege of speaking at numerous industry conferences and events, sharing my insights and experiences with a wider audience. These opportunities have allowed me to connect with fellow professionals, inspire others, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue about the future of the beauty industry.
Product Developer
In collaboration with leading beauty brands, I have been involved in the development of innovative hair care and styling products. My hands-on experience behind the chair and understanding of stylists' needs have been instrumental in creating products that deliver exceptional results and meet the demands of modern professionals.

On top of being the most booked L'Oréal Professional Artist, I have worked with some of the top international brands.

I work at Square and took your class last week. I’m still processing it all! It was truly the best class I’ve ever taken. I’ve never been apart of something so genuinely impactful and valuable. I recently did my first bodybuilding competition and your class really helped everything come full circle. The same discipline (or habits!) I applied with that are the same ones I need to use in the rest of my life! Since your class I got an alarm clock that is on the other side of my bedroom to help me get up! I’m a snoozer.
